Fulya Akça started her music life by playing flute at the age of 12 and her first jazz training started by joining Elif Çağlar Vocal Workshop during her university years. In 2012, she got awarded with honorable mention at Jamzz Young Talents Contest hosted by Akbank Jazz Festival. She participated in Sibel Köse vocal workshop. She was a contestant in 2013 Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Contest and got awarded with NTV Special Award and a performance at the 19th Istanbul Jazz Festival. She got the chance to work and perform with Fatih Erkoç at European Jazz School Project in Bursa. She got invited to German, Italian and Polish workshops of this project where she worked with various musicians and performed in different concerts. She graduated from Uludağ University Music Training Department in 2015. She started studying at Istanbul Technical University Social Studies Institution Musicology Department Post Graduate Program in September, 2016. Fulya Akça, qualified to perform at the 24th Istanbul Jazz Festival through the IKSV Young Jazz Competition in May 2017, continues her training in music and performance.
