Gizem Dinç Gizem Dinç (v), Cem Kaprol (p), Duru Tuna (as), Volkan Topakoğlu (b), Riccardo Marenghi (d) Cem Kaprol, küçük yaşlarda başlayan klasik piyano eğitiminin ardından lise yıllarında caza ilgi duydu. Üniversite eğitimi sırasında piyanist Ömür gidel ile caz ve performans çalıştı. Sonrasında New York’da Mannes School of Music’te caz eğitimi aldı. Burada, Armen Donelian, Richie Beirach ve Phil Markowitz gibi isimlerle çalıştı. 90’lı yıllarda Türkiye’ye döndükten sonra belirli dönemlerde bazı gruplarla İstanbul caz sahnesinde çalmaya devam etti. 2000’li yıllarda piyanist Kent Mete ile çalışmalarını sürdürdü. Son yıllarda beste çalışmalarına ağırlık veren Kaprol, Burak Bedikyan’ın da desteğini alarak özgün bestelerine son şeklini verdi. “Other Standards” adını verdiği projesini hayata geçirmekte olan piyanistin modern yaklaşımlı müziğinde, Avrupa cazının kendine özgü tınıları bulunuyor. Kendi bestelerinin yanı sıra, klasik müzikten caz düzenlemeleri ve Michel Petrucciani, Enrico Pieranunzi, Esbjorn Svensson, Bobo Stenson, Lars Jansson gibi Avrupalı sanatçıların bestelerini de icra eden Cem Kaprol, son dönemde bu projesinin kayıtlarını tamamlamak için stüdyo çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. --- Entrance Fee: 50 TL Reservation: +905323064334 Cem Kaprol Quartet feat. He studied jazz and performance with pianist Ömür Gidel while he was stil studying at university. He later studied at Mannes School of Music in New York. There, he worked with musicians like Armen Donelian, Richi Beirach and Phil Markowitz. After returning to Turkey during the 90’s, he performed with various bands in the Istanbul jazz scene. He studied with pianist Kent Mete in the 2000’s. He concentrated on his original material in the recent years, and completed those pieces with the support of Burak Bedikyan. His Project “Other Standards” has a modern approach to music, whilst keeping the unique sounds of European jazz. Kaprol not only performs his own compositions, but also tunes by artists like Michel Petrucciani, Enrico Pieranunzi, Esbjorn Svensson, Bobo Stenson, Lars Jansson and many others. Lately, the artist has been in the studio to finish recording his project.
