Engin Recepoğulları
Engin Recepoğulları was born in Ankara, in 1980. He studied jazz harmony with Ömür Gidel, and saxophone and improvisation with Ricky Ford. He performed at the 12th European Jazz Festival with the Open Jazz Orchestra that was formed by Claudio Fasoli and Antonio Zambrini. After these performances, he attended the Masterclass Summer Course in Sienna, Italy, for which he was awarded a Young Musician of Year Scholarship. Engin Recepoğulları continues to perform with important figures from Turkish jazz scene, such as Sarp Maden, Önder Focan, Ozan Musluoğlu, Ferit Odman, Kerem Görsev, Erkan Oğur, as well as with various bands, including CRR Bigband and TRT Jazz Orchestra. Engin Recepoğulları Trio performs the original compositions of the members and interpretations of various jazz standards.
