Selin was born in Hatay, Turkey. She moved to Mersin in 2000 to study music at the State Conservatory of Mersin University, specializing in flute. In 2007, she transferred to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. Since then she has been working on her career as a vocalist. Alongside her classical music education, she has worked as a background singer for many different artists. Since 2010, her focus has been on writing and composing her own music and, since 2014, she has been performing this music regularly. Kerem Öktem is the producer for the album she has been working on for a year, out on November Selin sees herself as a teller of musical stories. As a singer and song writer of the new generation, she moves effortlessly between musical styles, following the soul of the stories she tells in her songs. With the foundation of her classical education and an endless pursuit of innovation, coupled with a warm, authentic, heartfelt performing style, Selin’s songs offer an eclectic tapestry of feelings and emotions.
