Selim Gürcan
Selim Gürcan was born in 1977 in Ankara. He started making music with the bass guitar in Ankara. He graduated from Anadolu University School of Music and Drama, Program of String Instrument Construction in 2008. He worked with various national artists and orchestras and played the bass guitar for two albums. He studied Jazz Harmony with Onur Mülayim and he continues his music life with Blu Notte Orchestra, Tin Pan Band Turkey, Sour Soul Band and a variety of Jazz Bands in Izmir and Istanbul. He has played with leading Jazz musicians of Turkey such as Jesse Selengut, Sibel Köse, Alpay Çiftçi, Onur Mülayim, Cansu Nihal Akarsu, Önder Focan, Can Tutuğ, Seçil Soylu, Özge Merç and Sinan Altıparmak. He is a "Turan Guitars" artist and he plays Turan Guitars custom-designed bass guitars.
