Kursad Deniz was born in Istanbul in 1983. He is a graduate of Galatasaray Highschool and the Department of Computer Engineering of Galatasaray University. He started playing the piano at the age of 5 by taking lessons from his father. He developed an interest in jazz music during his studies in Galatasaray Highschool and he has been performing in jazz clubs regularly since the year 2003. In 2010, he performed in the 13th International Ankara Jazz Festival as a member of Sibel Kose Quartet and he also participated in the 17th International Istanbul Jazz Festival, as a solo performer at the Tunnel Festival. He has made several television appearances in TV shows such as “Kerem Görsev’le Caz”, “Yansımalar” and “Akustikhane”. In August 2010, he performed with Sibel Kose Quartet in Finland in the cities of Pori and Helsinki. Tonight’s performance will include a tasty selection of jazz standards and arrangements.
