Anıl Eraslan
Born in 1981. he began playing cello and piano in Ankara then he went to France and studied classical, jazz and contemporary music at Strasbourg Conservatory. besides, he’s a free-improviser and plays also traditional turkish music in many projects. music has no strict borders between the genres. in 2008, he created the band “Auditive Connection”. the group is awarded by Illiade Young Talents Festival and France ô Folies and in 2015 they are selected for JazzMigration tour which provide numerous concerts at national and international festivals . so far, he collaborated with musicians such as Chris Heenan, Michael Vorfeld, Axel Doerner, Tobias Delius, Tristan Honsinger, Joost Buis, Alan Purves, Anne La Berge, Michael Moore, Ab Baars, Ig Henneman, Sergei Letov, Alexei Borisov, Olga Nosova, Christine Ott, Karl Berger, Tolga Tüzün, Lê Quan Ninh, Oliver Lake, Adam Rudolf, Kenny Wessel, Trilok Gurtu, Saadet Turkoz, Yann Tiersen, Matt Elliot... currently, he is playing in many different ensembles with Sumru Agiryürüyen, John Lindberg, Aysenur Kolivar, Sylvain Kassap, Eric Groleau, Auditive Connection, Balboura, Kemik Trio, Linea Ensemble, Hanatsu, Espèces d'Espaces. composing, improvising and collaborating with other art forms and making workshops. composed for the films 'komsu rokan var mi?' by Sibil Çekmen, 'tmmob documentary' by Özcan Alper, 'la fin du silence' by Rolan Edzard. artist in residency at Illiade in Illkirch for three years (2012-2015) artist in residency in berlin by ceaac (centre européen d'actions artistiques contemporaines) in 2012. artist in residency in OMI arts center in Ghent, NY in 2014. anil works also as a photographer.In 2007 he was laureat of Genis Aci-Young Talents project. then he had exhibitions in galleries in Turkey, Syria, Usa and France. he got prizes from ‘ The Center for Fine Art Photography ‘, Paris Px3 and Sfr Jeunes Talents.
