Beykoz Kundura has recently become popular due to its being one of the most popular places for movie and TV-series shoots, but it also has a diverse and deeply-rooted history. This institution, which has played a significant role in the history of industrialization, is one of the few industrial cultural heritage sites which had been operational from its inception in the Ottoman era, all through the establishment of the Republic in Istanbul. While the restoration projects continue, Beykoz Kundura still serves as a movie plateau and as a host to events and gatherings.
